NORFINBURY
Norfinbury used to be populated, but became abandoned due to unknown circumstances. We've found photos of picketers and protest signs that suggest there might have been unrest in the town, and we've also found some evidence suggesting that the mass exodus occurred recently, but we don't have any concrete answers yet. All we know for sure is this:1.There are no living plants or animals. found a house with plants, but I don’t suggest you fuss with them. probably poisonous.
2. The only reliable sources of food are the convenience store and the school. Ration what you have, you don’t know when you’ll find your next source.
3. In the evening, your tablet will display a "FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY" message. If you don't, an hour later all the doors will lock.
4.There are no natives left.It is possible at least one native is left in hiding. Messages have been found suggesting someone afraid is still in town.
If you're caught outside when the doors lock, you will freeze. The weather doesn't let up. I suggest hoarding all the blankets and clothing you can, because you'll need them. If you run across something that might be useful and you can afford to take it, don’t leave it behind. Be it a weapon, a blanket, or a scrap of paper. Resources are scarce. Don’t run off on your own. Keep a network, and check in frequently. Ration your food, you don’t know when you will get more. Try to jot down where you have been, and add it to the map. Move around to keep warm, friction helps and so does sharing body heat. Better to get suffer a snuggle than freeze to death, yeah, so no whinging. Current resources only seem to be able to last approximately a week whenever found, so don't be caught short and always try to return to somewhere to restock before then. In addition, writing your name and the day in the houses you pass could help others going that way find and meet up with you.
It looks like we've all been brought here by @ADMIN, who occasionally posts short messages butnever responds to anyone.rarely responds to anyone. They have been recorded responding to medical emergencies and computer code. They may be responsible for the shots we get periodically. The shots we get seem to have a side-effect of short-term paralysis, so don't worry if that happens to you. They often come after something off happens, and then everything goes back to normal - I'm not entirely convinced the shots are what's fixing it, though. None of us have noticed any other effects of the shots at this time. As of right now, the entire area is blocked off by walls of snow. Whatever weapons you had in your possession have likely been taken. On the same note, those who claim to have had magic abilities can't use them anymore. There is now a minor collapse in the wall to the east side of town; however, no way over it has yet been found.
SAFETY
Last but not least, treat everything you see like it could be reality, and a threat, but remember that it may not be. This place as the capacity to trick with our heads and our perceptions, what you are seeing and experiencing may not be real. If you can beat them at their own game you’ll be safer. If you don’t know what something is, be careful with it. If something seems dangerous, engage cautiously or not at all. Do NOT under any circumstances approach any shadowy figures. Do not let them touch you. If you see one, get inside immediately and barricade the door. So far, the only way to protect yourself is to keep yourself away from them. Don't attempt to fight them - it won't work. Don’t do anything without letting someone know what you’re up to. If it’s getting late, get inside or you’ll regret it. Bar the door; we can’t get them open, but there might be things you don’t want inside that can.
If you don’t make it inside, there is a chance you might be collected and revived by some means. Reports of “something missing” upon waking. You could be gone for days with no recollection of what happened to you during. It’s impossible to say what really happens, SO AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you think there’s a chance you won’t make it, don’t risk it.
I'd like to reiterate that. Avoid any dangers. We don't know what goes on when your body is taken or how they save you. More so, not everyone is chosen to be saved. Don't assume you will be. Find something to defend yourself with. Anything - broken glass, a baseball bat, you name it. Travel in a pack, when you can; this town often makes people feel restless, so you might be separated, but try to find another group when you can.
Most importantly, don't do anything stupid.
There is an unproven link between an application labelled 'beacon' and the frequency of creature sightings, please be careful if choosing to activate this as we still do not have a lot of evidence to support exactly what it does.
There is also a possibility that the creatures you encounter may look similar to distressing or traumatic things you recognise from home. Be ready for this. They ARE NOT those things, do not be tempted to stay near them or investigate. Still run away and barricade yourself indoors, these creatures are extremely dangerous.
