Hey, Al. Vasquez and I passed through the museum earlier today. We'll be out of the pass in two days.

Wow, you made that super quick! Dr Strange, Mr. Gray, and I are heading towards the power plant gate.

Yeah, Hugo Vasquez was right nearby and picked me up. I'm definitely ready to be out of these awful tunnels.

[ She's seen too many people die here. ]

No word from Zach yet, either.

[armoured]

I know, I've been looking out for him.

[Even if he doesn't agree with revival, it does happen here and he's not going to ignore it.]

But I'm glad you're not alone, I don't think I've spoken to Hugo Vasquez before, what's he like?

He's... interesting. I wish I could watch him properly. He grumbles a lot to himself and paces sometimes. He's some kind of executive in Handsome Jack's company, I think, and he's not used to roughing it.

I get the feeling he's not used to caring about people, either.

[ And sorting him out is a good distraction from Zack being comatose. ]

[Oh. That doesn't sound good, especially not with how intimately they all became acquainted with how awful Handsome Jack was.]

Does Angel know he's here?

[He probably trusts her opinion on anyone from Handsome Jack's company the most.]

She does. I think he and Rhys know each other better, though. They've got some sort of rivalry going on. Angel doesn't seem bothered by it, so it can't be that bad, but considering what they think of as normal that could mean anything.

I guess.

[He's still not happy about this, though.]

Are you being careful?

Careful as can be. I got all my threatening out of the way a week ago. He's not a fighter, I could have him in a choke hold in 30 seconds flat, vision or no.

That still hasn't worn off yet?

[He hates these prices, he hates how much they make him think of human transmutation.]

Not yet, no. I'm afraid I won't be much use once we do reach you.

[armoured]

You know that I don't want you with us because you're useful, right? I want you with us because I miss you.

I know. [ She's sheepish. ] It's just annoying, you know?

[armoured]

Yeah, I get it.

[Maybe not the being blind thing, but the feeling useless thing.]

I mean... hopefully it'll wear off soon, right?

Hopefully. What's the longest this sort of thing has lasted, anyway? A little over a week?

[armoured]

No, I think it was closer to two weeks. But that's really rare, I'm sure it'll be gone in no time.

[ She sighs. ]

Yeah, you're probably right.

[ OR MAYBE IT WILL LAST FOREVER. ]

[armoured]

I'm definitely right.

[He's going to make himself sound way more hopeful than he actually is.]

Really, don't worry. I bet by the time you get to me, you'll be all better again.

I feel like putting a timer on it is only going to come back to bite us later.

[armoured]

Mm.

[He can't deny that's probably true, he wouldn't put it past this place to mess with them just because they say otherwise.]

Then-- then I'll just say that it'll be okay, Steph, no matter how long it takes. So just take it easy travelling, and we'll be together before you know it.

[ She sighs. She's doing a lot of that lately. ]

Yeah. I'll be in touch once we're out of the tunnels, try to coordinate meeting up. If nothing else I imagine Vasquez will be happy to be done with babysitting duty.

[armoured]

Oh-- uh, yeah, okay. I'll talk to you nearer then, then.

[He wishes he could give her a hug.]
